Feeling kinda motivational and stuff right now, so I kinda felt like writing these for people to refer to when making new characters. I'm hoping this will help in creating new, better characters for the roleplay.
First up, psychos and villains.
Although it is fun to roleplay as a villain, there is a fine line between an interesting character and just a plain, 2D evil person. For an example, a character that is only evil and just wants to kill, is a psycho, etc, is a pretty boring character. Theres only one side to him or her, and nothing very interesting is going on.
To fix that, you could add something that either makes him or her stand out as being especially evil, such as killing cubs, etc, or maybe give it a different side that no one knows about, such as actually being really sensitive and lonely. This adds character, and thats what a character is. This will also make it more interesting to roleplay.
The good guys.
Theres nothing much that you can do thats bad with good characters, but sometimes they can be rather bland. Giving them a history and reason to be good and have a reason to want to help people, ect, is okay, but theres a lot of that on this roleplay. Things like seeming to be the underdog, something strange about them, once being evil, etc, can make your character more interesting.
Then, theres Mary Sue characters.
This can be a very large issue when making charries. Mary Sue characters are ones that seem "too" special or invincible, or incredibly attractive. You do not want your character to be Mary Sue. To prevent this, give your character some downsides and flaws. No one can be perfect, after all.
I hope that some of these tips helped! If you have other ideas to add, let me know.
